Ensidia

Well it has been a long time coming but Arthas has finally arrived.

For many people who have followed the Warcraft story and Blizzard games this marks one of the pinnacle moments in the history of the franchise. The Lich King has been imminent for such a long time. Mentioned in quests, depicted in cinematics and always portrayed as the ultimate badass. In some ways it will be strange for him to actually be dead since his looming presence has felt like such a core part of the game's feel. This was especially the case over the last 18 months.

For Ensidia it marks the beginning of the most important Progress Raiding we have ever done since the merge. While the system isn't perfect, it's still Arthas and we really want to win above all else. The competition will be stiffer than ever and I'm sure many people out there believe it's anyone's for the taking. We are also probably the most prepared we have ever been going into an instance and we want nothing more than to take down another Expansion Endboss.

So appart from Arthas the patch holds many other goodies. The first is the start of Season 8 and for those of you into PvP this marks another chance to compete for the top spots in Arena. At least this time you won't have to deal with quite so overpowered Prot Warriors, since they are nerfed in this patch. We posted the link to the Season 8 sets a few posts down so if you havn't seen them, check it out. Resilence takes a heavy buff and as a result there has been a 10% healing reduction on all forms of healing in all PvP areas. It will be interesting to see just how much of an effect these changes have on PvP in Season 8 since many people have been complaining for a very long time.
There are also some interesting class changes.

Elemental Shamans, Balance Druids and Warlocks get fairly significant PvE boosts that were much needed. Hopefully this will bring them in line with some of the other casters that are tearing it up right now.

There is a new Wintergrasp boss with the usual loot table so don't forget to kill him when the patch goes live (easy way to get those Sanctified parts if you are lucky!). There has also been rework of some of the heroics to make things a bit faster. I think many people will be glad of this, doing 30 minute daily quests on 4+ characters is a drag.
