Fans hoping for a new MMO involving Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo might be disappointed to hear Zarhym, Blizzard's community manager, confirming yet again in this post that the new development is going to be based on a "completely new franchise".

We've already stated it'll be a brand new franchise, which means the lore, art, and game play are being developed entirely from scratch.
Zarhym even continues to note that this has already been mentioned in the past but the community seems to have overlooked it and is still holding its breath for a MMO based on a current franchise.

What are you looking forward to the most from Blizzard's next game, and do you think that they will be able to surpass the expectation and even surpass WoW's fame?
